THE TRILEMMA LIAR, LUNATIC OR LORD
1. Was He a Liar? If he did then: 1A He Lied 1B He contradicted his own teachings 1C He was a hypocrite 1D He was a Demon – to trust him for their eternal destiny 1E He was a fool – because he died for his lie Mark 14:61- 64
2. Was He a Lunatic? If so then: 2A He was sincerely deluded 2B He existed in a monotheistic society 2C Their eternal destiny depended on believing in Him
3. Is He LORD? 3A. Moral Implications 3B. He is not a “great Moral Teacher” 3C. You must make a choice. John 20:31
IF GOD BECAME MAN, THEN WE WOULD EXPECT HIM TO:
1. Have an unusual entrance into life. Virgin birth. (Koran) 2. Be without sin. John 8:46 3. Manifest the supernatural in the form of miracles. Lk 7:22 4. Have an acute sense of difference from other men. Jn 7:46 5. Speak the greatest words ever spoken. Lk 21:33 6. Have a lasting and universal influence. Testimony of Humanity for over 2000 yrs. 7. Satisfy the spiritual hunger in man. Mat 5:6 Jn 7:37 Jn 4:14 Jn 6:35 Jn 10:10 8. Exercise power over death. Mat 26:53,54 Burial Mat 27:57,58 Jesus Predicted His death AND resurrection Jn 2:19 Jn 11:25 & 14:19 Apostles Power Acts 9:40,41
